The Healing Ointment

Aquaphor
It Soothes, Protects, & Heals

Aquaphor is my go to ointment for chapped lips.  A few years ago I kept having severe chapped lips and it wouldn't go away and nothing made it better.  It was to the point where the corners of my mouth were cracking and we all know how that feels! So I broke down and went to my Dermatologist.  She gave me a prescription for at night and recommended I use Aquaphor during the day.  I thought, well I had never heard of it but was willing to try anything at this point.  I went straight to Target and bought a tube and used it right away.  I felt instant relief and was in love from that moment.  I have told many of my friends about Aquaphor and you will never see me without a tube in my purse.  Now Aquaphor has smaller tubes that are easier to fit into your purse.  It's made by Eucerin and can be found at most stores.  Target, Kroger, Walgreens, and any major drugstore.  They also have it in the baby aisle for diaper rash and chapped skin for babies and children.  I have also heard athletes using it for preventing chafing, blisters, windburned skin, and saddle sores.

GHD Styler

Good Hair Day

The GHD styling iron is amazing!  I purchased mine a few months ago after a few of my friend stylists had fallen in love with theirs.  I had always used the Chi iron since hair school and thought it was the best flat iron out there.  Don't get me wrong it is an awesome iron, but then I used the GHD.  My friend Dana would color my hair and afterwards flat iron it with her GHD.  I would go home and the next few days use my Chi iron and I just wasn't getting the same results.  It wasn't as smooth and shiny as when she did it.  So I gave in and bought one for myself!  The 1''inch ceramic plates makes it so easy to get super close to the scalp and to smooth out bigger sections at a time.  It's made with thermodynamics which help improve the condition and look of your hair.  It's made with a rounded barrel to make it easy to not only straighten  but to curl, wave, and flip the hair.  It heats up super fast and has a automatic shut off if it's left on for to long.  I came home the other day and heard it beeping telling me it shut off automatically because I had left it on after I had left, Thank goodness!  The GHD may be a little more pricier then the Chi or any other iron but I believe its worth it.  Now when I use my Chi at work I feel as if it pulls my hair and doesn't glide down the mid shaft as it should.  I guess I'm totally spoiled by my GHD at home that is smooth and always does a great job!  I would defiantly recommend a GHD to anyone!
*ALWAYS use a heat protector when using hot tools on your hair*

I see it happen ALL the time.....

Girls see a cute haircut and style and immediately think that's what i want.  So they go to their stylist and get their hair chopped off.  Then a few hours, days later they are miserable because they miss their long hair.  Think before you snip girls!  If you want to do a big change with your hair, think about it.  I normally tell my clients to just get a trim that appointment and then if they still want to chop it off next time then we can.  Make sure its exactly what you want before getting in the chair and seeing all your hair on the floor around you.  Plus, It's only hair and normally will ALWAYS grow back!!!

Magic In a Bottle!

MoroccanOil
Magic in a Bottle!

What's all the hype about?  That's exactly what I was thinking when I started hearing about MoroccanOil.  Finally I gave in and bought a bottle and fell in love instantly.  This amazing product contains Argan oil that can only be found in Southwest Morocco.  Its a powerful antioxidant, UV protector, and a free radical neutralizer.  It's rich in vitamins that have the ability to strengthen the hair and increase elasticity.  This unique product instantly absorbs into the hair, creating immediate shine and long term conditioning benefits without leaving a sticky residue.  The line has styling, finishing, and conditioning products.  The oil revives hair, strengthens, conditions and can reduce your drying time.  It leaves my hair healthy, shiny, and less frizzy.  I have been growing my hair out for what seems like 3 years.  I started using Moroccanoil and noticed a difference in my hairs texture and strength right away. Which gave it the ability to be healthy and actually start to grow!  I personally like the MoroccanOil Light for my blonde and fine hair.  It never leaves my hair feeling oily or weighed down.  I started selling this to my clients and they all love it.  Everyone should defiantly give it a try!

To use: Apply a small amount throughout damp hair and style as usual.  Start out using a quarter size amount to get the full benefit.  Then you can slowly use just a nickle amount every time you shampoo.

The new SHAG!! O yes its BACK!!

SHAG
"The new shag is almost boyish - more messy then pretty"

That's right the shag from the 70's is back again and improved!  The new shag has more of a rock n roll feel, thick layers allover that look defiantly unkept.  Not only can this look be straight, wavy or curly, it can also be any length from above the ears to below the shoulders.  Making it less of a shape and more of a disconnected cut.  The shag has been around since 1967 when Mick Jagger of The Rolling Stones rocked it out.  I personally love this cut, both cutting and styling it.  Although doing the shag cut is a big step and you can tend to loose alot of hair from the short layers.  I would recommend that you go to a stylist that you trust, bring a pic of exactly what you want and ask for suggestions on how to fit it.  When I personally am fixing my clients hair whom has a shag cut I like to make the crown area have alot of volume and the ends more sleek.  Although the layers in between I like to make look more shattered and messy.  A thick side swept bang always helps finish off a good shag cut!  Enjoy your easy, messy, ragged out look!

Looking for that Pefect Hairspray?! Well look no more!!!!

Bed Head Hard Head by TIGI
Spray it, Fix it, Flaunt it!

I love love this hairspray! My mom got me addicted to it years ago.  I use it on myself everyday and on my clients for special occasions.  It has a strong hold and subtle shine.  You can use just a little or layer it for more firmness... the more you use the harder it gets!

To use: Hold the bottle 10-12inches away from the hair and spray a fine mist over dry hair for the complete look.
